About the farmer

Ngacha Coffee Estate – Martin Muriuki

Ngacha Coffee Estate is a family-owned and operated farm located in the heart of Kenya’s coffee growing region, Kirinyaga County. Our farm has been in operation for over 60years and has a rich history of producing high-quality coffee beans. Ngacha Farm was started in 1954 and its first 9 bushes were planted in 1958 by the founder, John Muriuki Ngacha.
Fast forward, Kenya got independence and he expanded his farm to what is currently 6acres under coffee. His son, Martin Muriuki took over the farm four years ago and he has since taken up new and forward thinking ideas of processing coffee within the farm.

At Ngacha Coffee Estate, we take great pride in the quality of our coffee beans. Each bean is handpicked at the peak of ripeness and carefully processed through Anaerobic Natural Fermentation to bring out its unique flavor profile. Known for their bright acidity, rich aroma, and smooth finish and a cupping score of 87, the coffee has a delicate Apricot, Tropical fruits, Peach, Lemon Zest taste notes.

When you drink a cup of coffee from Ngacha Coffee Estate, you can be sure that you are enjoying a truly special and unique coffee experience. You are also supporting a farm that is dedicated to preserving the environment and improving the lives of local people.
